Spring Is Finally Here

Well at last it’s springtime and I can already feel the warmth in the air. This past week the days have been beautiful, I am even tempted to sit outside under the veranda and do some knitting but alas it has not happened. The days have been lovely but the nights are still cold and it gets cold quickly. Whats the weather like in you part of the world? Gradually as the weather starts to warm up it becomes harder to do knitting. I still persist as I love to do my knitting, it gives me great joy to make something that someone can wear.

The other thing about spring is that I generally do a spring clean of the house. This year I am trying something different. I usually spring clean once a year, as most people probably do but this year I am spring cleaning every change of season. I figure if I do it more often that the general cleaning want take so long. I like to do one room a day and then give it a thorough clean. How do you go about your spring clean? And how often do you do it?

I hope where ever you are in the world you are having a great day.

Until next time

  1. Where are you, hon! I’m in Wilmington NC U.S.A. We’re just starting to breathe after a sweltering summer and we’re happily awaiting fall. Imaging my surprise when I opened your blog and it said “spring is finally here.” (smile) I can understand you’re joy. Thanks much for the lovely photos. Are those Russian sages (botanical name, Perovskia atriplicifolia) in the first photo?

    • Hi Shirley,

I live in Adelaide, South Australia and we are getting ready to go into our summer. Not sure what the plant was in the first photo, I took the photo because I liked the pretty flower.

  2. You are so lucky to be having Spring now! I hate fall and winter…so depressing 😦 And it’s the 2 main season where I live in the U.S.
